About Our Olive Egger Flock

Our Olive Egger flock produces a wide range of green-toned eggs and has been carefully selected for strong genetics, fertility, and overall flock health.

Message us for flock photos or questions about genetics.

🧬 Olive Egger Genetics & Breeding

Our Olive Eggers are the result of years of selective breeding to achieve a diverse range of egg colors, from moss and mint to deep olive, with some eggs displaying heavy blooms that create a dusty or matte finish.

F1–F4 Generations:

  • F1: First-generation crosses, typically more consistent in olive/green egg color
  • F2–F3: Increased variation in egg shade, feather patterns, and chick appearance
  • F4: Later generations where greater genetic expression occurs, and occasional blue-tinted, pink, or lightly tinted cream eggs may appear

Egg Color Variation: Most birds lay green or olive eggs, but later generations can surprise you with softer or unusual hues

Feather Patterns & Coloring: Hens may display blue-laced feathers, wheaten coloring, or partridge patterns

Hybrid Vigor: Crossbreeding supports strong fertility, hatch success, and healthy birds

Because Olive Eggers are hybrids, no two hatches are exactly alike, making each group of chicks truly unique.
